  1. Exhibit: Pottery by Scott Shaffer

    August 13 - September 18 @ Display Case, 2nd Floor

    Scott Shaffer’s pottery is now on display in the Second Floor Display Case at the Main Library. Scott uses a wide variety of firing techniques, finishes and added articles in his pottery. His work often has a story behind it—the piece in the photo was originally broken and out of the broken pieces, Scott made a new work of art that rises from the pieces of the original. Come enjoy Scott’s exhibit from August 13 through September 18, 2014.

  2. "The Fault in Our Stars" DVD Release Party

  8. Author Program: T. Jack Foster, Jr.

    T. Jack Foster, Jr., one of the original founders of Foster City will discuss his book "The Development of Foster City," from its days as Brewer Island to its current position as a thriving community on the Peninsula. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and the author will sign books. Proceeds will be donated to the San Mateo Public Library Foundation which raises funds for the Library.
