    The City of San Mateo is proud to exhibit the work of Peninsula Women's Caucus for Art. The group is committed to recognizing the contribution of women in the arts. The exhibit contains a wide variety of work and techniques from printmaking to oil painting to textile art. The group will have their work on display in the City Hall Gallery from March 10 through May 5, 2015.

Library - Front Page Events

  1. Exhibit: Ceramic Sculptures & Mixed Media by Patty Owyang

    March 25 - April 30 @ 2nd Floor Display Case

    Patty Owyang, a visual arts teacher in the Bay Area, began hand-building sculpture from clay 20 years ago. Her artwork represents the many forks in the road she has taken. Each piece appears as though it has had a pervious life or an old story behind it. Her exhibit will be on display in the Second Floor Display Case of the Main Library from March 25 through April 30, 2015.

  2. Exhibit: City Arts of San Mateo 15th Annual Art Recognition Program

    April 1 - April 30 @ 1st Floor Art Gallery, 2nd Floor, and 3rd Floor

    Students from Aragon, Hillsdale and San Mateo High Schools are displaying their art throughout the library. Visit our Art Gallery on the first floor near the meeting rooms to see photography, paintings, and multimedia hanging work. You’ll find more 2D artwork on the second floor near the California Collection. Then move upstairs to the third floor to enjoy ceramics behind the Reference Desk and in the Teen Lounge. We are celebrating City Arts of San Mateo’s Student Art Exhibition from April 1 - April 30, 2015. There will be an Awards Ceremony on April 12th in the Oak Room at 2pm.
