Bayfront Cleanup
Saving Our Bay One Cigarette, One Bottle Cap,
One Food Wrapper at a Time.
More than 800 volunteers came out for the 27th anniversary of our Bayfront Cleanup, held on Saturday, September 17, 2011. They picked up 900 pounds of recycling and 5,600 pounds of garbage!
Our cleanup in San Mateo is the most well attended single-location event for the entire Coastal Cleanup in all of the Bay Area and beyond.
We thank all of our volunteers, and hope that you had such a rewarding experience that you come back for the 2012 cleanup!
28th Anniversary Bayfront Cleanup!
Volunteers will pick up debris and litter along the Bayfront Trail, Marina Lagoon, and Tidelands Park. “Volunteer Thank You” BBQ (along with entertainment and prizes!) will follow cleanup. Events like this demonstrate how serious our community is about keeping our Bay healthy.
