The Parks and Recreation Rangers patrol seven days a week, from 6:00am to one half hour after sunset. The phone number for the Park Ranger Office is (650) 522-7485. Rangers are also on hand for special events including evening events in the parks.
Ranger responsibilities include:
Park Ambassadors: Assisting park visitors with general questions, information about the parks or about specific features of certain parks.
Safety: Patrolling parks to ensure the safety of all visitors by enforcing rules and regulations as well as identifying and resolving potential safety issues. All Rangers are 1st Aid and CPR certified.
Maintenance: The Rangers also assist the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crews with issuing work orders, making minor repairs, reporting vandalism, and other regular maintenance issues.
Public Education: Creating an environment of learning through the Ranger’s signature education programs.
Protection of Wildlife: Park Rangers work to ensure the safety of our natural habitat including the wildlife that lives within our parks.
